TEAC announced that it will launch the CD-200MKII and the Bluetooth-enabled CD-200BTMKII, its new professional CD player models, in Japan in late January 2027. Prices will be ¥77,000 and ¥88,000 (including tax), respectively, and both models will support not only audio CDs but also data CDs and MP3/WAV.
TEAC announced the CD-200MKII and CD-200BTMKII, 2 models from its TASCAM professional CD player brand. Both feature a TEAC-developed audio-only CD drive and enhanced playback functions for stable operation in professional settings.
The new products support playback of data CDs in addition to CD-DA, while the CD-200BTMKII also supports MP2. New features include a 10-second shock-proof memory function to reduce skips during playback, power-on play, auto cue, auto ready and a call function.
Bluetooth functionality is included in the CD-200BTMKII, which supports the Qualcomm aptX, AAC and SBC codecs. Up to 8 devices can be registered for pairing, and the player also includes connected-device switching and device-name display functions.
The products are scheduled for domestic launch in late January 2027. The CD-200MKII will be priced at ¥77,000 (including tax), while the CD-200BTMKII will be priced at ¥88,000 (including tax).
The models are expected to be launched as successors to the CD-200 and CD-200BT, meeting demand for audio playback in schools, public facilities, stores and other settings.
