COLOPL announced plans to optimize its organizational structure under a divisional system, creating a structure in which each division can focus on its strategic role. The 4 new divisions are the Entertainment Division, Kuma the Bear Division, COLOPL IP Promotion Division and Smart Life & Entertainment Division. Each will have a different role and promote hit creation, expansion into new markets, IP growth and collaboration with other companies, respectively.
As part of its medium- to long-term growth strategy, the company is targeting higher revenue in global markets. It has set a goal of achieving a Global Top 20 position, with targets of consolidated revenue of at least ¥100 billion and consolidated operating profit of at least ¥50 billion. Its strategy is centered on combining location-based games with high-potential IP, expanding overseas and providing new user experiences.
According to the earnings materials, the new-title pipeline comprises 6 smartphone titles and 12 PC/console titles, including With Generation, scheduled for release on 1 December. The company aims to grow its proprietary IP and expand across a range of platforms.
