SUZUYO SHINWART CORPORATION announced that it will begin offering its own in-vehicle device equipped with an alcohol detector. From 28 October 2026, it will provide AsaRepo's alcohol interlock function under an integrated structure, consolidating the app, contract and support desk.
An in-vehicle device supplied by the company itself will be added to AsaRepo, a cloud service that manages pre-drive alcohol checks and temperature monitoring. Whereas the function was previously provided through integration with an external service, the company will now provide everything from arranging the device through the app, contracting and post-implementation support. This will enable customers to operate the alcohol interlock function and other features using a single AsaRepo app.
The alcohol interlock function automatically assesses the pre-drive test result in the cloud. When unlocking is permitted, the app instructs the driver to send an unlock command to the in-vehicle device via Bluetooth, enabling the engine to be started. Operational functions for administrators include checking the unlock history, an emergency unlock function and a maintenance mode.
Benefits of the company’s own offering include unified app operation, consolidated contracting and billing, and a single inquiry desk. The company will handle inquiries relating to alcohol checks, the interlock and the in-vehicle device through a single point of contact.
AsaRepo is a service that centrally manages pre-drive alcohol checks and temperature monitoring in the cloud, with multiple functions designed for detector use and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
