Hokuriku Electric Power raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, setting full-year operating revenue at ¥850 billion, an increase from the previous forecast, operating profit at ¥42 billion and net profit at ¥28 billion. The revision incorporates an improvement driven by higher total sales volume and market-price movements. Under the revised full-year forecast, operating profit will decline 52.0% from the previous fiscal year and net profit will decline 48.6%.
The consolidated interim results for the fiscal year ending March 2027, announced the same day and covering April–September 2026, showed operating revenue up 5.3% at ¥424.685 billion and net profit down 34.9% at ¥31.34 billion. The fuel-cost adjustment lag and the shutdown of Unit 2 at the Nanao-Ota Thermal Power Station weighed on profit.
Total sales volume fell 0.8% year on year to 16.88 billion kWh. While retail sales declined, sales to the Japan Electric Power Exchange and other markets rose 6.3% to 5.252 billion kWh. Full-year total sales volume was set at 33 billion kWh, 2 billion kWh above the previous forecast.
The year-end dividend is planned at ¥12.50 per share, bringing the annual dividend, including the interim dividend, to ¥25, unchanged from the previous fiscal year.
