Hokkaido Electric Power set its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 at ¥33 billion. Net profit is expected to decline 25% from the previous fiscal year, but the forecast was revised upward by ¥11 billion from the previous forecast. Revenue is projected at ¥1.025 trillion and operating profit at ¥61 billion. Fuel cost adjustment charges are expected to increase, although timing differences in fuel costs will have an impact.
The company has indicated a policy of reviewing the tariff structure for using transmission and distribution networks following the increase in wheeling charges. This is expected to potentially expand margins on electricity sales.
Hokkaido Electric Power Network has indicated a policy of raising wheeling charges from November. Under a model case, the monthly electricity bill for a contract current of 30 amperes and consumption of 230 kilowatt-hours is expected to rise to approximately ¥11,596 from the current level.
Although fuel cost adjustment charges are expected to increase, the outlook for electricity sales volume, including sales by other companies, remains unchanged.
