フルッタフルッタ has signed an MOU with Brazil's CAMTA to introduce biochar production equipment using acai residues and launch new businesses involving the sale of CDR credits and fertilizer. It aims to reach a definitive agreement following an exclusive 6-month negotiation period.
フルッタフルッタ signed an MOU on 16 October 2026 with CAMTA, the Tomé-Açu Agricultural Cooperative in Brazil, covering the introduction of biochar production equipment and cooperation in overseas acai sales. The sale of CDR credits and fertilizer sales will be developed as new business areas. The companies aim to establish a circular model that makes effective use of discarded acai seeds. Прод
Under the agreement, biochar production equipment will be installed and operated at CAMTA's facilities, and CAMTA will handle product commercialization. In the initial stage, フルッタフルッタ will receive all revenue from the sale of CDR credits, which will be distributed between the two companies after the investment has been recovered. In the overseas sales collaboration, フルッタフルッタ will lead market development, while CAMTA will handle production and processing.
As quantitative targets, the companies aim to handle 15,000 tonnes of acai and achieve ¥10 billion in net sales over the next 5 years. The agreement applies retroactively to 24 July 2026, and the parties intend to conclude a definitive agreement following an exclusive 6-month negotiation period.
The business is based on using agroforestry to promote soil improvement and long-term carbon sequestration, and is positioned as an initiative to restore natural capital.
