PeopleX introduced interactive AI interviews for part-time hiring at MonotaRO’s logistics centers. The AI interviewer engages with applicants, asks follow-up questions based on their answers, and uses recorded data and evaluation reports in the selection process.
PeopleX, a company based in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, announced that it had introduced an interactive AI interview service for part-time hiring at MonotaRO’s logistics centers. Initial operations began with logistics center hiring, with the aim of achieving objective and consistent evaluations.
The AI interviewer engages in conversations with applicants and asks follow-up questions based on their answers. The questions and evaluation criteria can be configured for each position. Applicants can take interviews 24 hours a day, while companies can use recorded data, transcripts and evaluation reports in their selection decisions.
MonotaRO decided to introduce the service to expand applicant engagement and improve the fairness and quality of the selection process. It supports interviews in English and Vietnamese, as well as Japanese-language proficiency assessment, and its compliance with security standards was also a factor in the decision.
The company is considering expanding its use beyond part-time hiring at logistics centers to areas such as new-graduate hiring.
