Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo launched the New Beam-Type Scale Packer, a new refuse collection truck equipped with a weighing system. By making the weighing system smaller and lighter and revising its layout, the company has secured the same maximum loading capacity as models without a weighing function. Weighing accuracy is ±10 kilograms.
Excluding tax, the price is ¥3.38 million for the 2-ton and 3.5-ton models and ¥3.51 million for the 4-ton model. The product is sold as an additional option for the main models, which are supplied without the chassis and body. The hopper opening height above ground, as well as the vehicle's overall height and length, has also been set at the same level as the previous model.
The product's features include a smaller and lighter weighing system and improved installability, which are expected to make it easier to handle in the field. Adoption may expand depending on market trends and implementation results.
