On 10 September 2026, Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo launched the New Beam-Type Scale Packer, a waste collection truck equipped with a newly developed compact beam-type digital load cell. While retaining the weighing accuracy of the previous model, the new truck keeps the loading opening at the same height above ground as a standard truck and secures maximum payload capacity.
Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo announced and launched the New Beam-Type Scale Packer, a new model in its Scale Packer series of waste collection trucks equipped with weighing systems. The new model maintains the high-precision weighing performance of the previous model, lowers the loading opening to approximately the same height as that of a standard truck, and achieves greater maximum payload capacity.
The new model adopts a structure designed to address the previous model's high loading-opening height and restrictions on maximum payload capacity. Drawing on expertise gained from making the load cell more compact and lightweight, the company sought to achieve both improved operability and greater payload capacity.
The newly developed model incorporates a new structure based on know-how gained from the previous shaft-type Scale Packer. It secures payload capacity while maintaining the loading opening at approximately the same height above ground as that of a standard truck. It is also available as an optional specification for the Press Pack press-type waste collection truck and the Packman rotary-plate-type waste collection truck.
