TradeWaltz entered into a capital and business alliance with Resona Holdings, and Resona Holdings acquired shares in the company. The alliance will proceed with Resona Holdings joining the financial working group comprising MUFG Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Mizuho Bank.
The purpose of the alliance is to jointly examine the digitisation and standardisation of trade finance and payments, and to promote the adoption of the TradeWaltz trade DX platform through Resona Group's customer base. The parties will also advance the integration of commercial and logistics data with financial services such as payments and credit.
While paper documents remain in trade operations, efforts to establish an environment for full digitisation are progressing. Through this alliance, the parties will expand the scope to regional companies and small and medium-sized enterprises by using Resona Group's customer touchpoints.
Future developments expected to attract attention include progress in trade digitisation and new consortium and partnership initiatives.
