Kasumigaseki Capital announced that Development Bank of Japan will invest in its dry automated warehouse development project in Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture. Completion is scheduled for spring 2029.
On 30 September, Kasumigaseki Capital announced that it would receive an investment from Development Bank of Japan through the investment framework of the Supply Chain Resilience and Infrastructure Enhancement Fund. The investment will be made under the framework of Specific Investment Operations, and the project has been positioned as a dry automated warehouse development project.
The project will be developed in Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture, through Dry Tech Atsugi special purpose company, which is advancing the development of its first dry automated warehouse. Completion is scheduled for spring 2029, with the aim of establishing a new asset class for rental logistics facilities.
The facility is expected to use automation and AI for warehouse operations, deploying expertise in the integrated automation of all processes from receiving goods to shipping them across dry logistics. The system is expected to enable users to access advanced automation while avoiding major capital investment.
The investment was made possible through the use of a fund framework aimed at strengthening supply chains and upgrading logistics infrastructure. Looking ahead, the project aims to realize a next-generation logistics hub designed for full unmanned operation and an equipment-based industrial model.
