Sakata Seed Corporation has launched Premium Blend Potting Soil for Flowers and Vegetables, a potting soil for flowers and vegetables available exclusively through mail order. Designed to support root development and maintain fertilizer effects over an extended period, it will begin accepting orders from mid-November 2026 and ship orders on a rolling basis.
Sakata Seed Corporation announced that it will launch Premium Blend Potting Soil for Flowers and Vegetables through its online shop. The product is a full-scale launch of the existing Flower and Vegetable Potting Soil W-SOIL305 under a new name and in new packaging, with a design intended to promote root development and provide long-lasting fertilizer effects.
The company explained that its proprietary blend of peat moss and Kanuma soil promotes aggregation, supporting the development of fine roots as well as the main root. The product also incorporates a mechanism that adsorbs humic acid onto zeolite and releases it, allowing it to maintain fertilizer effects for up to 2 months.
Orders will be accepted mainly through the online shop from mid-November, with shipments made on a rolling basis. The price is ¥1,980 per 24-liter bag, including tax, and the product features a design that will not look out of place on a balcony or in a garden.
The product was developed to reduce failures among beginner and intermediate home gardeners and to encourage people to enjoy gardening. The company is said to intend to expand its services by offering approaches tailored to demand in the gardening sector.
