Sonos, the US audio brand, has announced the new "Sonos Ace Ultra." Equipped with Adaptive ANC and Headphone Engine 2, it is scheduled to open for advance reservations on 16 October and go on sale on 30 October.
Sonos announced the new personal-listening product "Sonos Ace Ultra" on 2 September, alongside the release of the latest version of its audio operating system, "Sonos 27."
The Ace Ultra features 40mm drivers and Adaptive ANC supported by 10 microphones, providing up to 35 hours of battery life with ANC on. It is the first product to feature Headphone Engine 2 and enables headphones to be linked directly to a Sonos system.
With a single press of a button on the headphones, sound currently playing can be moved to the headphones, and a second press returns it to the speakers. Sonos says the headphones can be operated even when a smartphone is not nearby.
The Ace Ultra is priced at ¥69,800 before tax (¥69,800 including tax). Advance reservations are scheduled to begin on 16 October, with sales, including through participating stores nationwide, starting on 30 October.
