アピリッツ revised its consolidated ordinary profit for the first half upward from a loss to a profit and also raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast to a profit. As a result, its earnings forecast for the current fiscal year was revised substantially upward.
Consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter (February-July) of the fiscal year ending January 2027 was revised to a profit of ¥156 million, exceeding the previous forecast of a ¥194 million loss. The same period of the previous year recorded a loss of ¥25 million.
Reflecting strong first-half performance, full-year consolidated ordinary profit was also revised upward from the previous forecast of a ¥174 million profit to a ¥424 million profit. The previous fiscal year recorded a loss of ¥317 million.
As reasons for the revision, the company stated that although net sales were tracking as planned, lower costs for Web solutions and other businesses and cost optimization contributed to results, while additional R&D investment for developing new services was made in the second half. This generated upside in the second quarter and determined the full-year revision.
Regarding the outlook, based on the information stated in the materials, the company plans to monitor the business environment and promptly disclose any additional revisions should they become necessary.
