京三製作所 raised its ordinary profit forecast for the first half of the current fiscal year from a loss to a profit, while first-quarter results also turned profitable. The first-half outlook is therefore expected to turn profitable, while the full-year forecast is expected to remain unchanged.
Ordinary profit for the April-June quarter came to a ¥490 million surplus, a substantial improvement from the ¥1.21 billion loss in the same period of the previous year.
The first-half ordinary profit forecast was raised from the previous forecast of a ¥290 million loss to a ¥400 million profit, compared with a loss in the same period of the previous year. The full-year earnings outlook was also left unchanged at the previous forecast of ¥6 billion.
For the latest three-month period, April-June sales came to ¥9,808 million, while ordinary profit turned profitable, with improvements in both sales and earnings.
