Mitsui-Soko Holdings will begin hands-on DX training for new employees from fiscal 2026. It is promoting the development of hybrid logistics and IT talent who can connect frontline knowledge with IT skills.
Mitsui-Soko Holdings announced on 5 October 2026 that it would begin its "Hands-on DX Training" program for new employees. Led by the AI Promotion Office, the training will also apply to new employees in non-IT departments, including frontline operations, sales and administrative functions.
The aim is to combine knowledge from logistics operations with digital technology and promote the use of digital tools across the company. The program is based on practical frontline work so that new employees, not only younger staff but also those outside the veteran workforce, can lead DX.
The training will focus on 3 core technologies: "generative AI and AI agents," "RPA" and "BI tools." Participants will develop practical skills directly applicable to automating import and export documentation, visualising data and automating operations.
The covered activities include not only warehouse operations and delivery and import/export work, but also preparing proposals and quotations in the sales division, and automating and improving the efficiency of data aggregation in administrative divisions. The program is designed to put into practice combinations of frontline perspectives and technology.
