Huawei Japan announced the new HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro smartwatch, which will launch on the 29th. Sports features for skiing, golf and cycling have been substantially enhanced, and battery life of approximately 21 days under normal use is claimed.
Huawei Japan announced the new HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro smartwatch on 21 October and said it would launch on the 29th. It is available in 3 colours, yellow, green and black, with an indicative market price of ¥54,780 including tax.
The design features a titanium-alloy case, a nanotech ceramic bezel and a sapphire-glass display, along with a new design that allows the end of the band to be tucked inward. The specifications and launch date were introduced in the official release.
The skiing and snowboarding functions support maps of more than 3,000 ski resorts in 59 countries worldwide, recording turn types, turn counts and G-force. An indoor mode and integration with the yukiyama app allow users to check the locations of companions on the slopes. Golf functions support maps of more than 17,000 courses worldwide and include improved elevation adjustments in distance displays and an enhanced green-view function.
The standard GT 7 model announced on the same day also offers sports functions, but prices vary by model and band, so buyers will need to compare intended use with the specifications.
