Keyence announced that consolidated net profit for April-September 2026 rose 49% year on year to ¥298.6 billion. It also announced a 1-for-5 stock split.
Keyence’s consolidated results for April-September 2026 showed sales of ¥735.3 billion, up 35% year on year, and operating profit of ¥408.2 billion, up 50%. By region, sales grew particularly strongly in Asia, with sales in Asia, including China, up 45% on a local-currency basis. Sales in Japan and North, Central and South America also grew steadily, by 23% and 25%, respectively.
Net profit rose 49% year on year to ¥298.6 billion, driven in part by strong sales of factory automation equipment. Morota Toshiharu (諸田利春), a senior analyst at Okasan Securities, said that capital investment related to AI is expanding globally.
The stock split will be the first since November 2019, with each share split into 5 shares. Based on the current closing price of ¥76,360, the minimum investment amount after the split is expected to fall to approximately ¥1.53 million. The company said it aims to improve liquidity by lowering the investment unit.
On the same day, the company also announced an annual dividend of ¥650 on a post-split basis, ¥100 higher than its previous forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Sasaki (佐々木), an analyst at UBS Securities, believes that improvements in information disclosure and shareholder returns are contributing to the stock’s strength.
