To expand its anime IP merchandising business, フーモア conducted a third-party allotment capital increase with TV TOKYO as the subscriber and raised funds through debt financing from financial institutions. It also conducted M&A to establish an integrated structure for merchandise planning, manufacturing and distribution.
株式会社フーモア announced that it had conducted a third-party allotment capital increase with TV TOKYO Holdings Corporation as the subscriber, as well as raised funds through debt financing from financial institutions. It also conducted M&A of a related company to establish an end-to-end structure capable of handling anime IP projects from creating original illustrations through manufacturing.
The purpose of this capital participation is to strengthen the IP business platform under TV TOKYO’s long-term vision, “テレ東VISION2035,” and its CaaS strategy. フーモア will combine its illustration production capabilities with its merchandise planning capabilities to establish a structure for accelerating merchandise development.
Using the funds raised through debt financing, it will acquire a related company and establish a structure under which merchandise planning, manufacturing, distribution and sales can be completed within its own group. In response to the needs of IP holders, including TV TOKYO, it aims to accelerate its merchandising business and expand revenue opportunities.
Going forward, フーモア will strengthen its production structure for original illustrations, expand the businesses of existing anime IP, and promote timely merchandise launches for new IP. It will also implement a merchandising strategy using sales channels such as pop-up shops.
