WORKMAN introduced its Graph Warm cold-weather apparel line, which uses graphene in the back lining, at its 2026 fall/winter new product presentation. It was discovered that graphene had previously also been used in Callaway golf balls.
WORKMAN exhibited its four-piece Graph Warm cold-weather apparel lineup using graphene, explaining that graphene is placed in the back lining to reflect body heat and improve heat retention. Graphene was presented as a material that offers high strength and thermal conductivity despite being thin.
It was noted that the same graphene had also been used in Callaway's 2018 CHROME SOFT and CHROME SOFT X golf balls. In the balls, graphene is used to strengthen the internal structure, with the aim of achieving both greater distance and a better feel at impact.
Graphene serves different roles in golf balls and outerwear. In golf balls, it contributes to the strength of the internal core design and distance, while in outerwear it contributes to heat reflection and heat retention. It was also noted that the current CHROME SOFT has a different structure from the model available at that time.
The possibility of expanding graphene applications into the golf apparel sector, including lightweight stretch blousons and vests, was also suggested. Such products are expected to aim for both protection against the cold and ease of movement.
