PRESS KOGYO will install a new integrated production line for side members for heavy- and medium-duty trucks at its Utsunomiya Plant and begin mass production in stages from October 2025 through August 2026. The line will allow equipment to be selected flexibly according to specifications and production volumes, and will also include shot-blasting equipment.
PRESS KOGYO will install a new integrated production line for side members for heavy- and medium-duty trucks at its Utsunomiya Plant and begin mass production in stages between October 2025 and August 2026. The new line is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to respond to customer needs and improve its competitiveness in low-volume, high-mix products.
The new line will allow the company to flexibly select either press-forming machines or roll-forming machines incorporating its proprietary technology, according to side-member specifications and production volumes. This is expected to facilitate responses to design changes and the expansion of product variety.
The company will also install new shot-blasting equipment to improve product appeal.
