A new line for the integrated production of side members, frame components for heavy- and medium-duty trucks, has been built at the Utsunomiya Plant. The equipment flexibly uses press-forming machines and proprietary roll-forming machines according to requirements, with the aim of strengthening competitiveness as part of the medium-term plan's focus on growth and new challenges.
PRESS KOGYO CO.,LTD. announced that it had introduced a new line at the Utsunomiya Plant capable of integrated production of side members, frame components for heavy- and medium-duty trucks. This establishes a system for completing side-member production within the plant and is intended to strengthen the supply of components.
A feature of the new line is its flexible selection and combination of press-forming machines and in-house-developed roll-forming machines according to component specifications and production volumes. This allows the optimal processing method to be applied to each component, with the aim of improving production-process efficiency and stabilizing component quality.
The installation of this equipment is positioned as part of the initiatives to implement the core policy of the company's medium-term management plan for fiscal 2024 through fiscal 2028, “growth and new challenges in core businesses.”
