Mitsubishi Estate Group received 3 Good Design Awards for fiscal 2026: the multi-family housing project “The Parkhouse Yoyogi Oyama Residence,” the traditional craft support media design “Media design using condominium common areas as venues for young traditional craft artists to present their work,” and the office building “Hirooka Terrace.” This marks the group’s 24th consecutive year receiving an award.
The first project, “The Parkhouse Yoyogi Oyama Residence,” features a design that makes use of its lush urban setting to create an open lifestyle extending from indoors to outdoors. It proposes a “Triple Living” concept using 3-meter-deep balconies, allowing the living room, Western-style room and balcony to be used together or separately.
The second project, the traditional craft design, creates a system that uses the common areas of condominiums as continuous exhibition spaces, providing young craftspeople with opportunities to present their work. The works are designed as a connected series of touchpoints, from exhibitions to websites, social media and model rooms, based on each property’s concept and local character.
The third project, the office building “Hirooka Terrace,” features common areas incorporating extensive semi-outdoor space. Connected by a bridge to the main building of The Hokkoku Bank, it provides diverse work and interaction spaces including terraces and lounges. It has obtained Nearly ZEB certification and the highest BELS rating as its latest environmental performance assessments.
