亀田製菓 lowered its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. The revision reflects deteriorating profitability following employee departures from a production line at its U.S. subsidiary, as well as lower sales of some domestic rice cracker products.
亀田製菓 announced on the 2nd that it had lowered its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Employee departures from a production line at its U.S. subsidiary, TH Foods, led to weaker profitability.
The revised forecast also reflects lower sales of some products following price increases for core products in its domestic rice cracker business in October 2026.
The revised figures were revenue of ¥142 billion, operating profit of ¥5.5 billion, ordinary profit of ¥5.1 billion, and net income of ¥2.5 billion, all reduced from the previous forecast.
The interim financial results for the six months ended September 2026 had already been disclosed separately, and the company conducted this review based on those results.
