わらべや日洋ホールディングス announced a downward revision to its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 and said it expects to record the suspension of operations at its Columbus plant in the US as an extraordinary loss.
わらべや日洋ホールディングス lowered its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027. It forecasts revenue of ¥238 billion, operating profit of ¥6 billion, ordinary profit of ¥6.05 billion and net profit of ¥3.5 billion.
The reasons for the downward revision include an expected shortfall in revenue from the ingredients-related business, as well as higher-than-expected packaging material prices and energy costs in the domestic food-related business due to the prolonged situation in the Middle East.
The suspension of operations at the new plant in the US Midwest, in Columbus, Ohio, is a factor behind the recognition of an extraordinary loss. Negotiations to sell the plant are under way.
