Hmcomm has added a human-transfer function to the VAAP Emergency AI Inquiry Desk Suite and will begin a trial service that strengthens emergency intake through coordination between AI and human staff. For covered incidents, AI will provide first-line intake and transfer inquiries to the designated desk when necessary.
Hmcomm announced that it will begin a trial of the VAAP Emergency AI Inquiry Desk Suite on 16 October 2026. The added function is intended to support both rapid first-line intake required after the public announcement of information leaks, service outages and similar incidents, and human response tailored to individual circumstances.
With the newly added human-transfer function, AI handles first-line telephone intake and transfers calls to a designated human support desk based on conditions set in advance. Combining AI guidance with individualized human support enables responses tailored to the content of each inquiry.
As a condition of provision, the desk is expected to open within approximately 1 to 3 days after the necessary information, response policy and service terms have been finalized. The standard service period is 30 days. Consultations on implementation during normal operations are also accepted, and transfer destinations and operating hours are set for each case.
Human support is provided by personnel designated by the company or an outsourced call center. AI provides guidance based on approved information and hands inquiries over to the human support desk only when individual judgment is required.
