At its FY2026 Q1 earnings briefing, Komori Corporation reported order intake of ¥33.2 billion, up 23% year on year. Revenue was ¥23.1 billion and ordinary profit was ¥0.9 billion, both increases. The main focus is the ¥26 billion acquisition of 丸山チラー, marking the company’s full-scale entry into the semiconductor sector.
At its earnings briefing for the April-June FY2026 period, Komori Corporation reported order intake of ¥33.2 billion, up 23% year on year, while revenue was ¥23.1 billion and ordinary profit was ¥0.9 billion, securing increases in both. The main drivers of higher orders were the recovery in demand for sheet-fed offset presses in Greater China and a large order for a security printing press in South Asia.
The main focus this fiscal year is the acquisition of 丸山チラー. The acquisition price is ¥26 billion. The target, 丸山チラー, is a chiller manufacturer serving the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry, with revenue of ¥11.3 billion and EBITDA of ¥2.5 billion. The equity ratio is expected to decline to 61% after the acquisition, while the company’s credit rating is expected to be maintained.
The company’s global market share for printing presses is approximately 20% for sheet-fed offset presses and approximately 50-60% in Asia and India. In security printing presses, it competes with Germany’s KBA for nearly half of the global market and holds an almost complete domestic monopoly. The briefing indicated that growth in the paper packaging market is emerging as a source of growth amid advancing digitization.
The dividend for the current fiscal year will increase substantially to ¥100 per share, with the total payout ratio set at 50%. The company has announced a ¥2.4 billion share buyback and aims to build a stable shareholder base. For the full year, it forecasts revenue of ¥124 billion, up 4.5% from the previous fiscal year, while ordinary profit is expected to decline 14.2% to ¥9.2 billion.
