In its results for the fiscal year ending August 2026, Marumae reported sharp increases in revenue and profit in both the Precision and Functional Materials segments, while overall profitability improved against a backdrop of expanding semiconductor demand.
The Precision segment reported revenue of ¥9.118 billion, up 18.3%, and operating profit of ¥2.287 billion, up 25.4%, as demand in the semiconductor sector expanded and order levels related to OLEDs were maintained. Improvements in equipment utilization offset increases in materials costs, outsourced processing costs and personnel expenses, driving higher profit.
The Functional Materials segment reported revenue of ¥11.316 billion, up 206.4%, and operating profit of ¥1.848 billion, up 428.5%, delivering sharp increases in both revenue and profit. The consolidation of KMアルミニウム increased the rate of revenue growth from the previous fiscal year.
By business, demand in the IT equipment materials field remained firm, while customers have requested increased production of semiconductor equipment components following inventory adjustments. For FY2027, the company forecasts revenue of ¥28 billion, operating profit of ¥6.5 billion, ordinary profit of ¥6.3 billion and net income of ¥4.2 billion, anticipating sharp increases in both revenue and profit.
