A ranking of the projected growth rates three years out for Japanese AI and semiconductor stocks has been published. While retail investor Kabu Kabuki (かぶカブキ) views the current market as being at a pause, attention is also focused on the timing of Anthropic's IPO.
Amid continued gains in AI and semiconductor-related stocks since the start of this year, a ranking was compiled using the IFIS consensus as an indicator of the future prospects of major Japanese stocks. The ranking compares consensus forecasts for the third fiscal year ahead with results for the previous fiscal year, using growth in net income for the third year ahead. The coverage consists of 42 stocks considered to be related to AI and semiconductors, with the data also disclosed to retail investors.
After reviewing the ranking, Kabu Kabuki (かぶカブキ) commented that it gave a strong impression of stocks that could grow. Kioxia Holdings ranked first, with its three-year average growth rate forecast at 144.4%, followed by Taiyo Yuden in second place and Seiko Epson in third. Although the share prices of related stocks have recently shown periods of weakness, the view was expressed that earnings growth could be reflected in share prices over the medium term.
Demand for power components for data centers and other products remains strong, and Murata Manufacturing was cited as a stock attracting attention. Tokyo Electron ranked 14th and Lasertec 15th. Kabu Kabuki (かぶカブキ) is considering when to buy back in after the IPO, and regarding Anthropic's preparations for an IPO on NASDAQ, believes that related stocks are likely to remain under selling pressure until the timing of the listing.
The article also directs readers to a separate article providing further explanations of 5 AI and semiconductor-related stocks attracting attention for their growth prospects, and touches on Kabu Kabuki's (かぶカブキ) profile and track record.
