A ranking forecasting net income growth three years out for Japanese AI- and semiconductor-related stocks was compiled and published, according to a report. With the cooperation of IFIS Japan, 42 stocks with high projected growth rates three years ahead were listed.
To assess the future prospects of AI- and semiconductor-related stocks, a ranking was compiled with the cooperation of financial information services company IFIS Japan. It compares “consensus forecasts three fiscal periods ahead” with the previous fiscal year's actual results, based on analyst forecasts from 16 major securities firms. Using net income growth three years out as its metric, the ranking identified stocks with high growth potential and listed 42 stocks. Specifically, it ranks the stocks by comparing the average forecast three fiscal periods ahead with actual results for the fiscal year ending March 2026 and other previous fiscal years.
Citing commentary from Tomatsu Nobuhiro (戸松信博), the article explains that share price trends should not be judged solely on short-term earnings and that the long-term cycle of capital investment must also be considered. It states that looking at earnings three fiscal periods ahead can be useful because share prices tend to reflect future earnings levels.
