櫻島埠頭 announced that it had cut its ordinary profit forecast for the first half of fiscal 2026 by 53.6% from the previous forecast to ¥100 million. The full-year ordinary profit forecast remains unchanged at ¥400 million.
櫻島埠頭, listed on the TSE Standard Market, announced a revision to its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the first half during afternoon trading on 19 October. The new outlook covers the cumulative second-quarter period of the fiscal year ending March 274, with ordinary profit revised down to ¥100 million from the previous forecast of ¥220 million. Ordinary profit was ¥290 million in the same period of the previous year.
The reasons cited included the deferral to the second half of the arrival of some breakbulk cargo and the collection of special handling fees related to tank operations in the liquid cargo segment, as well as outsourcing costs being recorded in the first half due to the work schedule. As a result, operating profit is expected to fall below the initial forecast, with ordinary profit and interim net profit also expected to come in below forecast. The full-year ordinary profit forecast will remain unchanged at ¥400 million.
