Saizeriya announced its Results Summary for the fiscal year ending August 2026. While sales in Asia continued to expand and the company strengthened its local production capabilities, the decline in the Asian segment's profit margin was flagged, putting the impact of overseas expansion in focus.
Asia segment revenue was ¥98.147 billion, up 17.1% from the previous fiscal year, while operating profit was ¥9.712 billion, down 4.2% year on year. Although store expansion and the strengthening of local production and logistics hubs progressed, sluggish profit growth has emerged as a challenge. Local expansion is advancing, including the completion of the new Guangzhou plant and first store openings in Wuhan, Malaysia and elsewhere.
On a consolidated basis, revenue was ¥301.483 billion, up 17.4% from the previous fiscal year, while operating profit was ¥16.419 billion, up 5.9% year on year, securing both revenue and profit growth. The recovery in domestic consumption, more efficient store operations and cost optimization through digital transformation support growth. Despite the impact of the weaker yen and raw material costs, expansion of the local network and strengthening of the supply chain could contribute to long-term earnings power.
