Yamato HD announced its results for April–September of the fiscal year ending March 2027. Revenue was ¥906.8 billion, almost unchanged year on year, while operating loss was ¥1.7 billion, ordinary loss was ¥0.8 billion and interim net loss attributable to owners of the parent was ¥10.5 billion. Despite the impact of lower shipment volumes, the company secured revenue through more appropriate pricing and expansion of its corporate business.
Operational improvements included thorough cost controls for transportation and last-mile delivery and an increase in the number of parcels delivered per person. Cost savings in the first half totaled ¥1.2 billion, and annual collection and delivery capacity reached the equivalent of ¥30.0 billion in Takkyubin revenue.
During the current fiscal year, integrated business-solution hubs were brought into operation in stages at 4 locations in Fukushima, Tokyo, Shiga and Okayama, helping increase corporate orders and utilization rates. With the ramp-up of the new hubs, the corporate business was expected to generate a ¥1.9 billion increase in profit.
For the second half, the revenue forecast was revised down to ¥1.895 trillion, while operating profit and ordinary profit are expected to increase substantially. Amid external factors, the company is focusing on strengthening cost controls and optimizing capacity allocation.
The company outlined a policy of pursuing top-line growth and improved profit margins, centered on expansion of the corporate business and cost controls.
