Hitachi has raised its full-year forecast, projecting revenue of ¥12 trillion, adjusted operating profit of ¥1.45 trillion and net income of ¥920 billion. It also disclosed its first-half results for the six months ended September and its dividend policy.
Hitachi has raised its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. The new forecast calls for revenue of ¥12 trillion, up 13.3% from the previous fiscal year, adjusted operating profit of ¥1.45 trillion, up 20.9%, and net income of ¥920 billion, up 14.7%. The interim dividend is ¥32, while the year-end dividend remains undecided.
Factors supporting earnings include the CI segment, where orders are expanding mainly for semiconductor manufacturing, measurement and inspection equipment, as well as strong data-center demand and solid demand for transmission equipment. These factors are said to have lifted profit above the previous forecast.
For the six months ended September, revenue was slightly more than ¥5.614 trillion, adjusted operating profit slightly more than ¥643.2 billion and net income slightly more than ¥416.6 billion, representing year-on-year increases in both revenue and profit.
In addition to the interim dividend already paid, the interim dividend was raised by ¥4 from the previous forecast to ¥32. The year-end dividend remains undecided.
