Tokyo Gas announced its interim results for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Revenue rose 2.1% year on year to ¥1.3758 trillion, operating profit increased 8.4% to ¥103.3 billion, and profit from the overseas business surged to approximately 2.3 times the previous-year level.
For the six months from April to September 2026, Tokyo Gas reported revenue of ¥1.3758 trillion, operating profit of ¥103.3 billion and ordinary profit of ¥108.0 billion, with all three figures exceeding the previous-year period. Interim net income, however, was ¥99.0 billion, reflecting a decrease in extraordinary income and other factors.
Revenue from the domestic energy solutions business declined 0.6% year on year to ¥1.1890 trillion, while segment profit fell 22.9% to ¥77.0 billion. Higher raw material and operating costs, along with lower sales volumes, affected results.
The overseas segment made a substantial contribution. Revenue increased 25.4% year on year to ¥138.3 billion, while segment profit rose 129.5% to ¥53.8 billion, approximately 2.3 times the previous-year level. Higher revenue from the North American shale gas business drove consolidated results.
