Nippon Gas (日ガス) reported first-half ordinary profit of ¥4.32 billion, down 14.1% year on year. Ordinary profit for the latest July-September quarter fell 63.0% year on year to ¥500 million, while trends in revenue and profit margins were also disclosed.
Nippon Gas released its earnings summary report, reporting consolidated ordinary profit of ¥4.32 billion for the cumulative second quarter of fiscal 2024 (April-September), down 14.1% year on year. Revenue increased year on year, while progress against the full-year forecast was 21.6%.
Consolidated ordinary profit for the latest three-month period, the July-September quarter, fell sharply by 63.0% year on year to ¥500 million, while the operating profit margin deteriorated from 3.2% to 1.2%.
Based on first-half results and its previous forecast, the company projected second-half consolidated ordinary profit of ¥15.6 billion, down 3.1% year on year. The earnings announcement is scheduled for 29 October 2026.
