Autumn moon-viewing fairs are launching at chains across Japan. McDonald's and Komeda Coffee are showcasing limited-time offerings including moon-viewing burgers, new desserts and drinks. The rollouts are scheduled to begin sequentially from 2 September.
With the arrival of autumn, McDonald's will offer 8 limited-time products, including its Tsukimi burger, from 2 September. The new Aburi Beef Sukiyaki-Style Tsukimi combines a Japanese egg and beef patty with a sukiyaki-style filling. The evening McDonald's menu, available from 5 p.m., will also feature the Cheese Cheese Double Tsukimi, with extra cheese. Other moon-viewing offerings, including Tsukimi Pie and Tsukimi McShake, round out the lineup beyond the burgers.
From 2 September, Komeda Coffee will hold its “Moon-Viewing Festival,” featuring 6 products. The standard “Moon-Viewing Full Moon Burger” is made with an egg omelet and a generously sized hamburger patty, while the new “Moon-Viewing Full Moon Teriyaki Burger,” designed to resemble the moon, is also returning. New desserts include the “Moon-Viewing Shiro Noir Roasted Sweet Potato,” a Danish pastry served with roasted sweet potato sauce, and the “Moon-Viewing Kuro Noir Roasted Sweet Potato.” The lineup also includes the “Moon-Viewing Jelico Roasted Sweet Potato” and “Moon-Viewing Au Lait Roasted Sweet Potato,” combining roasted sweet potato drinks with coffee jelly.
