Casio Computer announced that it will launch the AQ-230 and AQ-240, 2 new retro and retro-modern models from CASIO CLASSIC finished in gold and green, in October. These battery-powered quartz watches are priced at ¥8,800 for the AQ-230GA-3AMQYJF and ¥9,900 for the AQ-240EG-3AJF.
Both models feature gold-colored metal bracelets, resin cases and deep green dials with a sunray finish that changes in appearance depending on the viewing angle. The AQ-230 combines analog and digital displays in a square face, retaining a vintage look. The AQ-240 offers a retro-modern interpretation of the series launched in 2025, combining a square dial with a rounded case.
Both watches have a two-hand analog display without a seconds hand and provide water resistance for everyday use. Features include dual time, a stopwatch with 1/100-second measurement, a time alarm, an auto-calendar and selectable 12- or 24-hour display. Battery life is approximately 3 years. The AQ-230 measures 38.8 × 29.8 × 8.1 mm and weighs 47 g, while the AQ-240 measures 40.9 × 35.8 × 8.1 mm and weighs 51 g.
