中国旭陽集団 has raised its earnings outlook for the first half of 2026. Against a backdrop of wider margins on specialty chemicals and the completion of the integration of a subsidiary, first-half net profit is expected to increase by more than 335% year on year. The company also reported improving results at 濱海能源 and progress on a green power project in Inner Mongolia.
中国旭陽集団 announced that net profit for the first half of 2026 is expected to surge by more than 335% year on year. The main factors cited were wider margins resulting from higher selling prices for specialty chemicals and the impact of completing the acquisition of 濱海能源.
Average selling prices, including those for caprolactam, rose 13.3% in the first half of 2026, bringing the price per tonne to approximately RMB9,701.3. Meanwhile, procurement prices for the key raw material pure benzene did not remain elevated, contributing to wider caprolactam margins. Margins on other specialty chemicals, including methanol produced from coke oven gas, also remained at high levels.
Revenue at 濱海能源, whose acquisition the company completed, was approximately RMB419 million for the period, a substantial 78.5% increase year on year. Under IFRS, the transaction was treated as a business combination under common control, and revisions to the unaudited consolidated management accounts for the prior-year period affected the basis of comparison for net profit.
濱海能源 is advancing the first-phase 150 MW wind power project in Inner Mongolia under the "source-grid-load-storage" green power model, and began full-line power transmission on 1 August 2026. The project is intended to strengthen supply capacity for lithium-ion battery anode materials and enhance the environmental value of its products.
According to 濱海能源's figures, its standalone results for the first half of 2026 showed a net loss of RMB28.247 million, down from RMB39.13 million in the same period of the previous year, with a loss per share of RMB0.1272.
