Keiyo Gas released its cumulative second-quarter results for the fiscal year ending December 2026, raising its full-year ordinary profit forecast by 11.1%, from the previous forecast of ¥3.6 billion to ¥4.0 billion. Meanwhile, the ordinary loss expected in the second half is set to widen.
Keiyo Gas announced its results during the afternoon session on 10 August, reporting that consolidated ordinary profit for the first half of fiscal 2024 (January-June) rose 24.1% year on year to ¥6.26 billion. It also reported second-quarter results, with ordinary profit of ¥2.49 billion for April-June, net sales of ¥64,034 million, ordinary profit of ¥2,837 million and operating profit of ¥2,629 million.
For the full-year outlook, the company raised its ordinary profit forecast from the previous forecast of ¥3.6 billion to ¥4.0 billion. Ordinary profit was ¥4.63 billion in the previous fiscal year, so the decline rate is expected to narrow from 22.3% to 13.7% following the revision.
However, consolidated ordinary income for July-December is expected to be a loss of ¥2.26 billion, meaning that the loss is projected to widen from the ¥410 million loss recorded in the same period of the previous year. Uncertainty over the trend in net sales remains.
