Meta unveiled new Meta Glasses AI glasses at the Meta Connect 2026 event. It presented one of its largest-ever lineups, including audio-focused models such as Ray-Ban Meta Audio, and outlined sales plans and pricing for markets including Japan.
Meta unveiled new Meta Glasses AI glasses, co-developed with EssilorLuxottica, at Meta Connect 2026, announcing that it will offer more than 100 eyewear options, including audio-focused models such as Ray-Ban Meta Audio. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) is also being introduced, with a lightweight model that omits still-image photography and new frames. The products will be rolled out across regions including Japan, with sales regions set to expand by the end of the year.
The LISA models are a collaboration with BLACKPINK's LISA, featuring star motifs on the case and frames and a bundled charm. The lineup includes 2 entry-level models and supports prescription lenses. Prices start at ¥68,200, with sales scheduled to begin on 23 October in all regions, including Japan.
Ray-Ban Meta Audio is a model focused on audio functionality, delivering high-quality sound without blocking out ambient noise. Weighing approximately 43g, it is lighter because it omits photography lenses. It can be used for up to 12 hours on a single charge, or up to 48 hours with the charging case. The frames come in 2 styles, Clubmaster and Burbank, with 23 possible combinations. Shipments in the United States are scheduled to begin on 13 October, while availability in Japan is planned for 2027.
Gen 3 adds 3 new Ray-Ban Meta styles, featuring Aviator, Zena and Wayfarer designs. The action button on the right temple can be customized to activate AI, while battery life has been extended to up to 9 hours and noise suppression performance has been improved. New features announced for the consumer devices planned for release by the end of the year include burst-photo selection through the dynamic photo function and Dolby Atmos support.
