Isuzu Motors India announced that its Sri City factory had reached its 10th anniversary, highlighting that it had produced more than 10,000 vehicles to date. The factory operates mainly with local staff and continues to supply domestic and overseas markets.
The company's press release indicated that cumulative production had reached 100,000 units ahead of the 10th-anniversary milestone, while exports had expanded to Middle Eastern and Asian markets. This indicates that the company is pursuing domestic business growth and export expansion as twin drivers.
According to local employment data, the Sri City factory employs approximately 1,300 people, 82% of whom are local workers. Women account for approximately 28% of the production-line workforce, and training is also provided to develop proficiency in manufacturing operations using AI.
As part of its human resources development and contribution to the local community, the company also supports practical learning by donating cutaway engines to technical education institutions. Isuzu Motors India said it will continue to link local production capabilities with the design standards of its Japanese headquarters and pursue growth in domestic and overseas markets.
