KAMEDA SEIKA will launch its first new product using potato in the dough, Happy Turn, French Fry Style. Potato powder is kneaded into the dough and potato-flavored oil is used to recreate the savory aroma and flavor of French fries.
The product is smaller and more bite-sized than the regular 96g Happy Turn, with a light, lively texture.
The price is approximately ¥243 for 60g and approximately ¥140 for 35g. The 60g pack will be sold at supermarkets in the Chubu region and westward, and the 35g pack at convenience stores nationwide.
Following the positive reception of Happy Turn, Happy Butter Flavor, developed in collaboration with Calbee, the company created this product using potato in the dough. Development involved more than 30 prototypes for the dough and more than 60 for the seasoning.
