TOMOEGAWA announced an upward revision to its full-year forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 2027, projecting revenue of ¥38.6 billion, operating profit of ¥1.6 billion, ordinary profit of ¥1.7 billion and net income attributable to owners of the parent of ¥700 million. Revenue is expected to increase year on year, while operating profit is expected to be roughly flat and ordinary profit and net income are expected to rise substantially.
Consolidated results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 were revenue of ¥10.107 billion, up 18.5% year on year, operating profit of ¥875 million, up 136.8%, ordinary profit of ¥893 million, up 96.3%, and quarterly net income of ¥593 million, up 95.8%. The main factors cited were pull-forward orders related to semiconductors and displays, growth in the functional sheets business and the weaker yen.
Although the first-half forecasts were raised substantially, the second-half forecasts were kept comparatively low at revenue of ¥19.6 billion and operating profit of ¥400 million, leaving full-year operating profit heavily weighted toward the first half. Despite the upward revision, the company remains cautious about its second-half profit outlook, factoring in a decline following the pull-forward orders and the impact of higher raw material and fuel prices.
