Apple announced that it jointly developed the new Apple Home Collection series of smart home devices with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The lineup includes cameras, video doorbells, door locks and thermostats.
All products will launch in December, with some launching in early 2027. Cameras are listed at prices starting from $199.95 in the U.S. market, door locks from $349.95 and thermostats from $199.95.
Sales will be limited to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, with Japan excluded from the sales regions this time. The cameras offer up to 2.5K resolution, while video will be protected with end-to-end encryption and stored for 10 days through iCloud+.
Proximity unlocking uses UWB. Setup is performed in the Home app, with no separate app required. In the United States, installation services from ADT are also expected to be available.
