京阪神ビルディング announced that it expects to record a gain on the sale of a property in Kyoto as extraordinary profit and has signed an agreement to transfer the Kyoto Shijo-Kawaramachi Building to its domestic business. 30 September is scheduled to be the first record date for the new shareholder benefit program.
京阪神ビルディング announced on 30 July that it had signed an agreement to transfer the Shijo-Kawaramachi Building in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto, to a domestic operating company. As a result, the company expects to record approximately ¥5.9 billion in extraordinary profit as a gain on the sale of fixed assets in the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027.
Following this revision, the company maintained its full-year forecasts for net sales of ¥20.5 billion and operating profit of ¥5.5 billion, while ordinary profit was revised down from the previous forecast of ¥4.9 billion to ¥4.5 billion and net profit was revised up to ¥7.0 billion. The upward revision to net profit is expected to be driven substantially by the extraordinary profit from the sale of the Kyoto property.
In light of the revised results forecast, the company decided to pursue progressive dividend increases from the fiscal year ending March 2027. The annual dividend is expected to be ¥30 on a post-split basis, with a payout ratio of approximately 40.9%, although these figures include the gain on the sale of the Kyoto property and the ratio could be higher on an operating basis.
The first record date for the new shareholder benefit program is scheduled for 30 September, and attention is expected to focus on the eligibility requirements and the treatment of benefit entitlements.
In subsequent updates, the growth potential of the data center building business as the company’s main earnings driver, along with progress on domestic and overseas real estate development projects, could affect investment decisions.
