Daiwabo Holdings reported consolidated net sales of ¥313.1 billion for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, up 7.8% year on year and a record high. Operating profit, however, was ¥7.7 billion, down 22% year on year, as large data center-related projects pushed down margins.
Daiwabo Holdings disclosed at a briefing for individual investors held in Sapporo that consolidated net sales for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 reached ¥313.1 billion, up 7.8% year on year and a record high. Increased orders for large data center-related projects and AI-related cloud services drove sales higher, while senior managing director Ikari Tsukasa (猪狩 司) cited the low margins on large projects and declining revenue in the industrial machinery business as factors behind the lower margin.
Daiwabo Information System (DIS), which operates the IT infrastructure distribution business at the center of the briefing, said its share of domestic PC shipments reached 36.2% overall and 46.2% for corporate customers. In this context, it also said that daily shipments were approximately 500,000 units and daily sales were approximately ¥6.0 billion.
The expansion of AI PCs and subscription-based products was cited as a growth driver, and transaction volume through iKAZUCHI (cloud services platform) is expected to expand to ¥68.0 billion in the current fiscal year. The company also said that progress against the earnings forecast disclosed in May was broadly in line with the plan, with first-half progress rates of 55.2% for net sales and 46.7% for operating profit.
Against the background of the company name changes, a plan was announced to rename the holding company MUSUBITE Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary DIS as DIS Co., Ltd. in April 2027. MUSUBITE means “connector” and was selected as a name that embodies the purpose of the group.
