OPTiM CORPORATION announced that it will provide its multi-factor authentication service OPTiM ID+ free of charge for the entire service period to companies that apply by 28 December 2026. The service will be available regardless of the scale of implementation or budget, with the aim of strengthening corporate identity security.
OPTiM CORPORATION decided to provide its multi-factor authentication service OPTiM ID+ free of charge against a backdrop of increasing unauthorised access and information leakage. The eligibility period runs through 28 December 2026, and companies that complete their applications can use the service free of charge for the entire service period.
Drawing on its experience with the MDM and PC management service OPTiM Biz, OPTiM CORPORATION is providing an environment that makes it easier for companies, regardless of size or budget, to implement basic security measures such as multi-factor authentication and appropriate identity management. Through this initiative, the company aims to reduce the risk of information leakage among Japanese companies.
The background includes the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) calling on financial institutions and telecommunications operators on 9 October 2026 to conduct urgent inspections of their security measures. Unauthorised access to externally exposed applications, reuse of IDs and passwords, and failure to delete accounts of former employees have been identified as issues.
As a cloud-based identity management service, OPTiM ID+ provides functions including multi-factor authentication, single sign-on and identity management integration, supporting corporate identity security measures. Representative Director and President Sugaya Shunji (菅谷 俊二) said, "Information leakage begins at the ID and password entry point," emphasising the importance of strengthening entry-point defences.
