Sagami Holdings raised its current-period ordinary profit forecast by 4.1% from the previous forecast to ¥2.55 billion. The first-half ordinary profit forecast was also raised, along with other outlook revisions.
Sagami Holdings announced an earnings forecast revision in the afternoon session on 2 November. Consolidated ordinary profit for the current period was revised above the previous forecast of ¥2.45 billion to ¥2.55 billion. The figure was ¥3.04 billion in the previous year.
At the same time, consolidated ordinary profit for April–September was revised upward from the previous forecast of ¥1.45 billion to ¥1.54 billion, narrowing the expected decline from ¥1.87 billion in the same period of the previous year.
Although higher raw-material prices and personnel costs are factors behind the revision, consolidated revenue, operating profit and ordinary profit are expected to exceed the previous forecasts because of steady customer traffic and the effectiveness of management initiatives. The company plans to pursue growth in customer traffic and sustainable growth through “deliciousness” and “hospitality.”
