FIDEA Holdings revised its first-half ordinary profit forecast upward from the previous forecast of ¥1.3 billion to ¥4.2 billion after the market close on 29 October. The full-year forecast was left unchanged, compared with actual ordinary profit of ¥5.46 billion in the previous fiscal year. The increase is expected to be driven by higher interest on loans, with improvements in the asset portfolio also expected to have an impact.
FIDEA Holdings revised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the first half of the current fiscal year upward from the previous forecast of ¥1.3 billion to ¥4.2 billion. The revision applies to the six months through the second quarter (April to September), for which ordinary profit is expected to increase substantially from ¥1.96 billion in the same period of the previous year.
The full-year ordinary profit forecast was left unchanged at the previous forecast of ¥4.8 billion. The plan remains below the previous year's ¥5.46 billion.
The increase in ordinary income is expected to be driven by higher interest on loans, while interest and dividends on securities and net fees and commissions are also expected to exceed the plan.
Although the company revised upward its consolidated earnings forecast for the six months through the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, it has not changed its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 at this time, citing the need to assess the impact of financial market trends and merger-related expenses.
